And its a finding that basically predicts early onset of cardiovascular disease, which shouldnt have been a surprise to me because the list of men in my family who have died of cardiovascular disease is pretty long. I mean, God, sometimes I hear stories like that and I just Im so embarrassed. He also receives speaking honorariums from organizations, including hospitals and health-related businesses, when he is asked to speak on longevity, metabolic-related topics, athletic performance, and his personal experience working in medicine. If I just took 20 guys like you and took them from eight hours a night to four hours a night for two weeks and then did these glucose tolerance tests, I could reduce [their] glucose disposal by 50%. Six feet versus two feet., And if you could now paint the boundary conditions of that universe with actual data, the next time a virus comes up, we would at least have boundary conditions to say, Oh, this virus looks most like this virus.. Those are the three biggest causes of death heart disease, cancer, and Alzheimers. I want to be able to hop over a three-foot fence. I mean, there is, to me, no upside in outliving everyone that matters to you. LEVITT: Well, it sounds like you ended up making the right career choice. But heres the problem: Were living longer, but our quality of life is decreasing. LEVITT: No, it was when I worked in consulting. LEVITT: Yes, so you gave me some Nicorette gum, and Ive never really smoked.
